US markets · a few seats at a time · free while it stays small

Ask a market question.Get the working, not a verdict.

Finntrak is a private research desk for US markets: sector rotation, the macro levers behind it, valuation measured against each name’s own history, and a written read before every open.

Invite-only. Seats open in small batches — we cap the guest list rather than let the desk degrade.

§1

Two ways in, one brain

The cockpit

The live board in your browser — heatmap, macro console, the daily outlook, valuation screens, lead–lag. One login tied to your email. Nothing to install.

Your own Claude

Paste one URL into claude.ai and your Claude gets the eight tools above. Ask in plain English; it answers from the platform, with the caveats attached.

Needs a paid claude.ai plan.

§2

What it refuses to tell you

Market tools fail by being confidently wrong. Every rule below was bought with a real error.

  • Own history onlyA valuation multiple is ranked against the same name’s own five-year range — never against another company’s. 25× for software and 6× for a retailer compare nothing.
  • Fake bargains die firstA stale share count once made a $156bn company screen as a $6.6bn bargain. Catching that before you see it is most of the engineering.
  • Provenance on every printEach quote says which session it came from and when the exchange stamped it. A delayed print is labelled delayed, not dressed up as live.
  • A blank cell is an answerA bank’s EBITDA arithmetic works and means nothing, so we return nothing. No number beats a confident wrong one.
§3

Request a seat

Free and invite-only — not a growth trick. The desk runs on one small server, so seats are capped rather than the quality. If this ever becomes a product, the list keeps preferred terms.

  1. You askFour fields: who you are, what you do, and what you’d point the desk at first.
  2. We read itRequests are read and ordered, not queued. A few seats open at a time, so the list moves in steps rather than continuously.
  3. A person writes backWith your login, and the connector URL if you want the analyst inside your own Claude. Not a drip campaign.

Every field is read by a person — that is how the order of the list gets decided. Your email is used to send the invite and nothing else.
